Cherryfield to Hopewell Cape, NB

We cross the border at Calais
into St. Stephen, New Brunswick
Our first picnic lunch
Wren starts taking "short cuts"
so we can see the "real Canada"
Alma on the Bay of Fundy
gives us a sense of the tides
and a taste of Canada's fishing villages
They have to tie supports under the boats to keep them upright when the tide falls
Notice the cage around the prop which not only keeps it off the bottom,
but also prevents it from getting fowled by lobster pot lines
We finally arrive at the Hopewell Rocks
on the Bay of Fundy where the tide is down nearly 40 feet
We walked down a long way before we even got to the stairs
The tide rises 6 to 8 feet per hour, but since they close at 8 p.m. we couldn't stay to see it rise.
